Public
Speaking & Presentation Skills - How To Improve
Them Now
Want
to improve your presentation skills? Want some
tips that will take you a quantum leap ahead?
When
it comes to improving presentation skills, most
people focus on their presentation - that is,
the words that they will say in their seminar.
They
spend a lot of time on the order and sequence
of what they'll say.
But
the fastest way to improve your public speaking
and presentation skills is to completely ignore
the words!
That
may sound strange, but the light bulb is about
to go on for you and you're about to have a dramatic
revelation:
You
need to understand that it's not your words that
will make the most impact on your audience!
It's
your facial expressions, you body posture and
your gestures that will have the biggest impact.
In
NLP they like to cite the study done by Professor
Birdwhistell at the University of Pennsylvania
showing that what makes the biggest impact on
any listener is mostly the "non-verbals"
like voice tone and facial expressions.
That
study showed that what impacted listeners went
according to the following percentages:
Body
posture: 55%
Voice tone: 37%
Words: 7%
No
matter what study you look at, you find that the
majority of what impacts listeners is not your
words, it's your face voice and body and gestures
that make the biggest impact.
Now
can you see why trying to improve your presentation
skills by focusing on the words you say is a waste
of time? Words make up only about 7% of what will
impact your listeners!
Go
look at my videos on how
to improve your presentation skills and I'll show
you how to come across as the undisputed expert.
I'll
show you how to wake people up and make sure they
remember your main points.
I'll
show you how to be seen as someone they can believe
and trust.
And
none of that has to do with the words you say,
it's all about how you say it.
Always
remember this old saying: "It ain't what
you say, it's how you say it that counts!"
