Public
Speaking Skills Training
The
essential public speaking skills you must have:
While
most public speaking skills training clubs and
associations are focusing on the mechanistic aspects
of speaking such as robotic gestures and movements,
speech structure and vocal inflection, this public
speaking skills training article is doing to focus
on something much more important:
Public
speaking skills that will make you money or at
least get you other tangible and measurable results.
Not
to knock those public speaking skills training
club and associations, but they definitely have
a limiting aspect to them which is the fact that
they're focused more on what I call "the path
of the great speaker".
My
public speaking skills trainings are different
and focus more on "the path of the speaker that
gets results".
Answer
this question: would you rather get standing ovations
or would you rather make money?
I
know, you said both, and that's fine, but what
if you had to choose, which would it be?
I
thought so - standing ovations are great for your
ego, but they don't pay your bills!
Here's
my list of the essential public speaking skills
you must have to get measurable and tangible results.
Public
speaking skills trainings must teach you the following:
1.
How to conquer stage fright and fear of public
speaking - not manage it, but rather completely
eliminate it.
2.
How to create a presentation geared to get measurable
results such as donations made, signatures collected,
products sold, appointments made, or services
sold.
3.
How to create a compelling "call to action" so
that the audience knows exactly what to do following
the presentation
4.
How to create a dynamite presentation quickly
so you're not staring at a blank computer screen
wondering how to structure your talk.
5.
How to write compelling seminar and speech titles
that draw people in like bees to honey.
6.
How to handle any kind of question, even hostile
or irrelevant or persistent questions.
7.
How to know just enough masterful presentation
skills to convey credibility, authority, trustworthiness,
like-ability, and expertise.
8.
How to inspire a group - how to motivate, move,
or create that "inspirational moment" of reflection
that leads to action.
9.
How to purposefully and consciously control and
direct the moods and states-of-mind in the group
on a moment to moment basis.
Those
public speaking skills are what comprise a good
public speaking skills training.
I
suggest you use that as a checklist for any public
speaking skills training or course or classes
you might be considering.
Naturally,
let me know if you have any questions.
